AliExpress partners with The Moment3 to launch 5555 NFTs
Taking a bold step into the Web3 world, Alibaba’s subsidiary – AliExpress has partnered with “The Moment3”, a prominent NFT project to launch 5,555 NFT token sales on the 25th of June. With this initiative, AliExpress users will be able to explore and purchase unique digital collectibles to tap into the growing NFT market.
AliExpress is one of the world’s largest e-commerce companies and a subsidiary of China’s largest e-commerce company, Alibaba Group.
On Thursday, AliExpress first announced the project on its official Twitter account. The post was later removed by AliExpress but is still visible on the Twitter account of its partner “the Moment3!”.
AliExpress Legal stand?
Although Alibaba Group’s headquarters are in China, it does not serve customers in mainland China. Despite the Chinese government banning cryptocurrency transactions, the firm accepts crypto payments because its services are designed for international customers.
AliExpress can now accept cryptocurrencies as payments through its partnership with Shopping.io, an online platform where users can shop and pay with cryptocurrencies at top e-commerce sites such as eBay and Walmart. The meme coin FLOKI was added to its list of supported digital assets on May 31 through the partnership.
As a result of this integration, cryptocurrency fans can now purchase AliExpress products using their preferred digital currencies, which helps cryptocurrencies gain greater acceptance in the online retail sector.
